ANNOUNCEMENT: We’re Partnering With EarthWalk

We believe that great things occur when people work together. This year on Earth Day, we’re excited to announce that UPCYCLE will be partnering with EarthWalk. 

The demand for environmentally conscionable means of eliminating e-waste is behind UPCYCLE’s creation. However, there is still much to be done to fully connect the technology supporting our daily lives and sustainable equipment disposal. We hope to complete the circle between school tech and responsible disposition of obsolete equipment through this association. 

Our two brands aim for a more holistic approach between supplying schools with exciting and energy-efficient technology and recycling through collaboration. Announcing our partnership on Earth Day seemed appropriate. 

Tech waste only accounts for 2% of waste in landfills. However, it is responsible for 70% of toxic waste in the United States. On the benefits of the partnership Mark DeTroia CEO of UPCYCLE, stated, “…In partnering with EarthWalk, we have found an organization that shares our values and our understanding of our corporate responsibility to deliver value – not only to our clients, but to the communities we do business in….” UPCYCLE partners with several factions to reduce tech waste in landfills by delivering a cost-effective means of repurposing and recycling e-waste.

Since its creation, UPCYCLE has completed over 20,000 successful IT Asset Removal Projects; Furthermore, it currently works with over 5,000 schools within the United States. EarthWalk pioneered mobile cart technology, including high-efficiency, energy-saving charging stations for schools. They have been working in the educational technology sector for more than 25 years.

Together, we look forward to providing schools with a unified and socially responsible lifecycle for their equipment.
